UK Eurovision Entry Interrupted

Published May 12, 2018 by I Blog

Eurovision is an amazing time for all countries participating, but what happens when an act gets interrupted?

That’s exactly what happened to the U.K. tonight.

SuRie’s performance was interrupted tonight by a male wearing a bandana. He ran onto stage and stole SuRie’s microphone.

Although it is unsure exactly what he said, it has been reported that he ran onto the stage shouting “Nazis of the U.K. Media, we demand freedom “.

The backing teack rack kept playing whist SuRie began clapping to the beat before being promptly handed another microphone.

The UK was offered another chance to perform, but SuRie declined, presumably due to the shock. It has been confirmed that SuRie is okay by @Eurovision on twitter.

There have been several tweets asking about SuRie’s well-being and how lax security was. There have also been several tweets saying how he could’ve been carrying a weapon.

Serious props to SuRie to carrying on singing in this problematic time. And good luck to her

I Blog A Little Bit Of Everything 🎃

Published September 10, 2017 by I Blog

Hey guys.

Today isn’t one of my lighthearted posts. I’m sat here wondering if I should actually press publish.

Before you just ignore this post , just know that today, I’m not talking about all the injustices against women. Quite the opposite actually. I’m talking about inequality between females and males.

I’m writing this post because a blog is a place to share a message. A place where you can change the world. I know that I am a relatively small blog – there’s only 150 of us, but if only 1 person reads this post, then I will have made the world a slightly better place. And, if you agree with what I’m saying, maybe you’d like to reblogg?

So, Feminism. By definition it means the advocacy of women’s rights on the ground of the equality of the sexes. Today, I’m going to be focusing on the part that says ‘equality of the sexes’.

Now, firstly, let me tackle a common misconception ‘Feminism is all about women. It has fem as a prefix, so it’s for females’. No, just no. Think of it this way, mankind includes men and women, so feminism also includes men and women.

I don’t know if it’s just me that interprets feminism like this, but to me   feminism is basically about equality- women can do anything that men can do, but also that men can do anything that women can do. Today I’m going to be talking about the fact that men can do anything that women can do.

The first thing that I’ve noticed is about kids and their toys. Many years ago, it was about how there were girl toys and boy toys. Now, it’s all good for girls to play with ‘boy’s toys’ like cars and diggers and superheroes. But the thing is, we haven’t evolved as a society for boys to be able to play with ‘girl’s toys’ like Barbies or dolls or princesses. I don’t think that’s particularly fair; do you?

The other  thing that I’ve noticed is about makeup. Most girls and women are happily going around in their foundation, and mascara and concealer and all that jazz. However, not many boys and men can go around with makeup because society has told them that that’s a girl thing. However, when a guy is brave enough to wear makeup they get ridiculed and called names. Society puts pressure on us to look perfect. I have got acne, not bad but there are a lot of spots on my face. So, I wear makeup to make me feel more confident. There are loads of guys who get acne and want to cover it up but are worried about getting called names. This isn’t fair and should change.

Those are 2 of the main things that I’ve noticed about inequality. I could easily go on for longer, but then this post would go on forever. I could also talk about the how women haven’t got completely equal rights everywhere, but that’s a story for another day.

Do you agree with what I’m saying? Do you have any other opinions? Let me know in the comments below!

What I’ve Learned From My Fist Week Of School ~ Year 9 Edition 📓

Published September 8, 2017 by I Blog

Hey guys! It’s Friday! Whoop whoop 🙌! We survived the first week of school! Yes! It’s the weekend!

Today we’re talking about school. I know. It’s sad. Summers over 🙁. I had to go back to school ☹️.

So, here’s what I’ve learned!

1. Uniform can change over the summer. Yep. Uniform can change over the summer and you may not be aware. Be warned. (Hehem, spent money on boots, then found out that they were banned).

Disney Pin Trading 101

Published September 3, 2017 by I Blog

Hey guys!

Today I’m going to share with you the basics of Disney Pin Trading.

What Is Pin Trading?

Disney Pin Trading is a fun activity where you buy pins and trade them with people that work at the parks or other guests.

What is a Disney pin?

A Disney Pin is a type of badge. They have a special Disney design. They are only available at the Disney Parks.

What do I need to start trading?

Well, all you need is pins. I would recommend buying a pack with 4 in that costs about €15 ~ this is the cheapest way to buy, plus you get 4 pins to trade on.

If you would like, you can also buy things such as a bag or lanyard to display your pins, but they are not necessities.

I would also recommend getting some spare backs as a precaution, but they are extras and are not required.

Today marks Albus Severus Potter’s first day attending Hogwarts school of witchcraft and wizardry.

Today King’s Cross station was absolutely packed with die- hard Harry Potter fans because it’s officially #19YearsLater! Everyone raised their wands in appreciation and wore their smartest robes trying to get onto Platform 9 and 3/4, although none were successful.

Today is the 19th year since the release of the Deathly Hallows. At the end of the book and film it shows you what happens 19 years later, and it’s Albu’s Potter’s first day at Hogwarts. And that day is today!

But, I think the real question on everybody’s mind is; how was Albus’ first day at school?

To find out, read the Cursed Child, a play by John Tiffany, based on the best-selling series by J.K Rowling.

Let’s Get Real; What’s The Deal With WTJ Now In Color?

Published July 23, 2017 by I Blog

*Please don’t get offended if I put “colour” instead of “color ” as where I’m from, that’s how you spell it.*

So, this post idea all started when I saw this video by Moriah Elizabeth (I own no rights to this material).

This really saddened me because I love her WTJ (Wreck This Journal) videos.

So, you know how you look up Wreck This Journal on Google and this comes up?

They’re all nice and pretty and decorated pages, right?

Well, in Wreck This Journal Now In Color, this is on the front and back pages.

So, basically, we have been told that we have been doing this book wrong. Um… no! That’s not fair. We have spent our hard earned money on this book, so we shall do what we please with it.

So, this post is basically to say that I am going to decorate this book. It still says this in the front… (instructions are open to interpretation)

I have a question for you. When I am decorating this book, would you like to see it as a series (like me decorating pages and giving you updates every so often), or would you just like to see a finished flip through? Let me know in the comments below!
