Harry Potter And The Philosophers Stone Review ~ Contains Spoilers

Published July 1, 2017 by I Blog A Little Bit Of Everything

Hey guys! So, today I wanted to give you a spoilers review of Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone.

So, this book follows the story of Harry Potter who finds out that he’s a wizard. Harry attends Hogwarts and is accepted into Gryffindor where he meets Ron and Hermione.

A series of mysterious events unfolds at Hogwarts during Harry’s first year. Can Harry and his friends save the day?

The book starts with a look at the wizarding world and the Dursleys, yada yada introductory stuff. Then Harry Potter gets accepted at Hogwarts where he meets stuck up Hermione (who is later less spoffy and turns out to be nice) and Ronald Weasley.

The Sorting hat in this book sings. Yes! It really sings! I find this a bit odd. The sorting hat that we know from the film is a bit less… *cheerful*!

Dumbledore is absolutely nutty! No joke! If you ask me, he is completely ripped off another famous wizard… *cough cough Merlin cough cough*

The rest of the book is practically the same… until we get to trap door under Fluffy.

So, Hermione has to do some advanced potion making to save the day. But in the film, this scene ships Ronmione way more cos like she decides to stay with Ron – aww!

I give this book a 3/5 because it’s good, but not great, and I much prefer the film. I didn’t overly enjoy this book but that’s just my opinion. What do you think? Let me know in the comments below!
