S is for Shutter Speed

Hey guys,

Week 3 of camera Mondays!

The S on the dial is for shutter speed.

Shutter speed is how fast the camera takes the photo.

If you have it on a high speed ( eg. 1/4 of a second) then the photo will be taken quickly. But, if you have your camera on a lower shutter speed (eg. 1 second) the photo will be taken more slowly.

You change the shutter speed using a dial on your camera.
